Hi
Actually now a days if you don’t speak at least two foreing languages you may narrow something down, and when we want jump at any job, we may loose oportunities.
Hello Marcelo, thanks for your reviews. My comment here today is about a project that I have this week, the company has a fair that will participate and we’re developing some products that will be to use there. It’s a new book with many brand new products and we’re still working in, if we don’t finish it until next tuesday, all best are off.
Hug.
Hi, Diogo, it was a great example, thank you!
Marcelo, by the way, I have your blog in my favourites on my computer. That’s interesting.
Hi, Débora, that’s great! Thank you :-)
Hi, everybody! Nice examples here, thank you all for the answers!
Hi Marcelo!
In my case, I had to narrow my list of pictures down to put it on the video of my daughter’s birthday party. I don’t know exactly how many pictures, but it was a lot of them.
You can correct me if I’m wrong, please. Thank you in advanced.
That’s expressions is used in britain or american english ?
If I’m not mistaken, “all bets are off” is commonly used in the U.S. and “spring sth on sb” and “narrow sth down” has no difference, both countries use them, but Ana can tell that for sure.
Hi Marcelo, congratulations by the tips
here is my example:
When I was preparing myself for getting into to college I had to make a hard choice about the course I wanted to take, there were a lot of courses that I would like to take, so I had to narrow it down to just one.
see you. bye
Hello Marcelo !!!

That’s it

Hi Marcelo!
I’m a huge fan of yours posts. I think that the best way of learning English is this way. Listening people talking. It’s kind of difficult to understand at first time you listen, but you listen one, two, three… a thousand times and then, as passe de mágica, you begin understanding … it’s great!
Congratulations and keep up the good work!
Valdir
Hello, Valdir, thank you for the compliments! I couldn’t agree with you more! Indeed, you have to listen a lot, listening is the essential element to achieve the final success!
As for “como num passe de mágica” you can say “like magic” or “as if by magic”
