my friend said: ” I use the computer”
my friend said that she used the computer”
Ah! Yes Ana. You’re right!
Ex:
Frank is not SO rich AS Edwards.
:-|
Pessoal, thank for the comments and examples…
You are as beautiful as your friend.
Letícia, você cometeu um erro ao escrever “you is”.
My friend said: You is SO beautiful AS your friend.
A palavra SO indica “tão”, “tanto” nesta comparação.
My friend said: “you is as beautiful as your friend.
Também seria correto “My wife said (that) she wants a new car” se for verdade nesse momento presente que ela quer um novo carro.
Hmmm…
I said: I am going to do a course on Canada last year. (direct speech)
I said (that) I was going to do a course on Canada last year. (indirect speech)
She said: I like you very much. (direct speech)
She told me she liked me very much. (indirect speech)
OBS:
Quando eu deveria usar “She told me she likes me very much.” (discurso indireto) ??? Isto existe?
She said: I liked you very much.”
Marcus said: I need your help to study english this semester.
Marcus said (that) he needed my help to study english this semester.
A mudança do tempo verbal no discurso é bem interessante pra mim. Fiquei curioso para entender melhor a lógica. Me respondam se possível. Eu ficarei muito grato!
When you have a few time to correct my text here I’ll also be very happy.

I heard someone say “That movie it’s awesome”

My wife said: “I’m pregnant”
My wife said (that) she’s pregnant.
e não My wife said (that) she *was* pregnant.
Está totalmente correto usar “she’s pregnant”, afinal ela está pregnant agora. Também seria correto “My wife said (that) she wants a new car” se for verdade nesse momento presente que ela quer um novo carro.

Danilo, Feliphe, Mary, Lago – Thanks a lot for your examples!

My husband said: we need to go to London next year.
My husband said (that)we needed to go to London next year.
My secretary said: I want to work in the morning.
My secretary said that she wanted to work in the morning.
Marilia – “I will phone you” está correto, e phone é muito usado como verbo.
“I will phone you” – “She said (that) she would phone me”
Nao esta correto.
O correto seria “I will call you” – She said (that) she would call me”
